**ARC requests are now closed. Thank you to everyone who signed up!**
Hi! Thank you for your interest in reviewing an ARC of Below! I’ve included a FAQ for possible questions you might have. When filling out the request form, be sure to fill it out completely. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Thank you for your understanding!
What exactly are you looking for?
My #1 priority is reviews. More specifically, Amazon reviews. As an indie author, reviews are so important. They offer me increased exposure by telling Amazon, hey, it looks like a bunch of people are enjoying this book! Let’s give it a boost so other people can see what it’s about and possibly buy it!
If you post reviews to other sites, great! Early reviews posted to your blog, Goodreads, and social media accounts are important too. Just know that my priority is Amazon reviews.
When will Below be released?
February 4, 2020!
When and where should I post my ARC reviews for Below?
By accepting an ARC, you will be expected to post at the outlets you agree to. I’m asking reviewers to post their review to Goodreads at least 2-4 weeks before publication (February 4, 2020) and their review to Amazon during the week of release. If you don’t have one/both of these accounts and are accepted for an ARC, you are still expected to post your review at least 2-4 weeks before the release date.
What if I don’t have a lot of followers on my blog/Twitter/Instagram/Goodreads etc.?
You do not need a huge following to be considered for an ARC. I look at the quality of your reviews, how engaged you are with your followers, the type of content you create, how consistently you post, your taste in books, and other factors.
How will I know if I’ve been accepted for an ARC?
I will be emailing those who have been accepted for an ARC a few weeks after the form closes. If you’re not accepted, be sure to follow my newsletter or my Instagram account, as I post information about ARCs there.
What happens if I receive an ARC but I don’t post a review in the required time frame?
Since I’m an indie author, I’m paying to print physical ARCs and ship them to readers, just as I am spending time formatting e-ARCs. I do this because I want readers to have the ability to read the story before publication, it’s good practice, and most people seem to like the opportunity. I ask that you consider whether or not you have the time to commit to reading and reviewing within the designated time frame.
That being said, I know life happens. If for some reason you miss the window to post your review, all I ask is that you let me know of the delay so I’m not left wondering, and that you post your review as soon as you can!
How long will the ARC request form be open for?
This form will close at 11:59 pm EST on May 17, 2019.
What formats are available?
ePub, Mobi, and paperback ARCs are available for request.
Can international readers request a physical ARC?
Unfortunately, physical ARCs are only available to those who live in the US. The reason is I don’t have the funds for international shipping right now. I hope this will change in the future. The best thing to do is to buy my books so I can have money in the budget to ship internationally!
There are a lot of questions on the form . . .
I know, I know. It’s a lot to fill out! But I look at your information as a whole to determine if you would be a good fit for an ARC, and having it all in one place ensures I’m not searching for information I need. Please note that I do look at all of your blogs, reviews, creative content, etc.
